| I'm torn between liking the shadow and not. If the light were a little softer - enought to define the shadows without the specular highlights on the branch - it might play better. Also, the purple background color is a choice I wouldn't have made. |

| the background color is a bit disconcerting for me (a favorite color but not here) the composition is very interesting and the textures and clarity are good - the white speckles around the seed are distracting |

| I like the idea of this but let me pass on some fond words of advice that I received in this challange....did you have to cut of the branch in the upper left corner....it weakens the composition for me. Now it also looks from the angle you chose that you tried to hide the shadow. The shadow should have been more accentuated by having the subject away from the background and another angle chosen preferably from above for my tastes, but below or left or right might have worked as well. If you did not want the shadow, you might have gone with black in the BG and the subject would have stood out more. Know as it appears, the suject seems connected to the BG. |

| Interesting shot, good composition. The blue highlights on the branch distract though. Keep the blue background. |

| I really like the overall composition here of the foreground. I think I would have preferred it without the shadow. Also, the white highlights are a bit strong (from reflections or oversharpening). |
