These are soap bubbles but it was a special dollarama quality so they don't pop!!! oooo hehehe

well, ive discovered that I will NEVER take a bubble picture again since it reflects/refracts 360 degrees of the room! Unless the bubble is in a black room where theres only a hole for the LENS!

curve layers for contrast
Hue-Saturation colorize
Unsharpen Mask
Crop so its straight

Bein non, obvisouly you need a light. Maybe like a soft 3 foot high strip of white fabric hidden off screen in the back as a diffuser... no?

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Uhmm.... wow! This is an impressive macro shot. I love the tension on the bubble surface. You are quite right about the reflective qualities of bubbles, not only do they show EVERYTHING around them, they are also hard to light. You handled both challenges well with this one. Congrats on a great finish.

I would have figured this to have placed higher. I've been meaning to get those types of bubbles to work with. Btw, if you use some flexible posterboard you can use it to block off the reflections. Either that or buy/create a light tent.

Very clever! Like the choice of colour and the tonal range. The light blobs in the background are a minor distraction.

Great concept. I would have loved this even more if the Dof was deep enough to have the bubble in focs, too. 7

Wow. Fabulous detail. The only thing I'd say to improve the image for me would be that the light spot in the upper right corner is distracting.
