Disqualification Details
Your submission must be taken after the challenge is announced and before the deadline, based on the Current Server Time (US Eastern Standard Time) displayed at the bottom of every page on this site. You must ensure that your camera date and time are correctly set to your local time zone before shooting your entry. If the date recorded in your original image file is not within the specified challenge dates, your entry will be disqualified -- NO exceptions! You must retain your original, unedited file (exactly as recorded by your camera), and provide it to the Site Council along with a list of your editing steps within 48 hours of any validation request. Files that have been saved or altered with any editing or transfer software are NOT originals. You may use a cloning tool or small healing brush for the sole purpose of removing sensor dust or hot pixels. No other spot-editing is allowed. No “effects” filters may be applied to your image, with the exception of Noise and Gaussian Blur.

Hmmm....MY BAD!! Sorry, I think I could have done well with this...guess I got a bit nutty with the editing. I am sorry to disappoint you. Uh....look over here....uh...ain't she cute tho???? He, he!!

I voted this a 7. Assuming the DQ was because you didn't quite get the restrictions on spot editing, just learn from it and move on.

Apart from the challenge, this evokes childhood and innocence in a wonderful way. It's a great picture! :)

Nice shot. I'm unsure how you've managed the selective desat in basic editing, but if it's legal, it's definitely a winner for me.

Adorable girl. I think the broad band of grey from top center to bottom left (with very little to disrupt it) works against this picture.
