 This was my first guy and first group shoot. The three guys in the photo are starting their t-shirt company and are modeling a couple of the shirts (www.dirtyjerseys.com). Two of the guys share a joke, while the one in the middle just smiles for the camera. I just so happened to capture it perfectly where he was in focus and the other two aren't.

And yes it fits rule of thirds..their eyes line up on the top third..lol. I wanted to do a double play on it...where it's three guys with one third in focus and the focus center of attention lined up on a third as well.

What a happy bunch of guys you photographed. This is certainly a keeper for all your scrapbooks.

Technically, this image is a bit 'hot' and has a few distracting shadows (the left side, particularly, and the faces) that make this something of a candid shot.

Then, since this challenge was The Rule of Thirds, you will find that most people with uccessful images placed one strong subject in one of the sweet spots associated with the Rule and the rest of the composition was subordiate to that strong subject.

But all that aside, it's tough to fault a picture that shows three happy guys in fun shirts goofing off for the camera. I'm glad to have seen it and hope to see lots more images from you.

Whose smile stands out? If one stands out for you it might be perhaps it is someone you care for. I would call this a nice snapshot, definitely a keeper for a scrapbook, but not much here to visually engage an impartial viewer.
