Vincent graciously allowed me to take several shots of him while he took a break from his job as a groundskeeper. I think he helped me to get over some of my fear of asking strangers to photograph them. He was just as cool as can be, and a big sweetheart too.

That is a common fear. Hence all the pictures of pets in my portfolio. Good shot that doesn't look staged.

I like this one a lot. There's a lot of complementary elements, like the colour of his shirt and the cyan colour behind him, the rough textures in back and his less-than-smooth skin, and the symmetry hinted at by the earrings, the shirt crests, and his eyes. His expression is adequately intense too. Great shot. My choice might have been to rotate to offer a straight line at the window sill, but what do I know. This is great, and congratulations on approaching a stranger for a picture.
