I can see where you are coming and it's a good idea but IMO this is poorly executed

This is similar to a shot I took last month of my niece at the beach except you got much closer.

Great minds think a like. Great capture. Love the expression on the kids face. Composition is good. I like how the rider is off center and is surrounded by sea foam bubbles. The foam in some areas is a bit bright. Try a circular polarizer next time and see if that helps bring down some of the bright glare. Hope this does well.
