I think this is a great shot and love the effect. In all shots with paths or roads, I try to do what you have and have them leading you to the main subject. I agree with routerguy66, if the lights and possibly the snow were white it would also look good, not sayin gbetter, just a different approach.

This is pretty cool actually. Either that or I just burst ome blood vessels in my eye.

Would really pop if the lights themselves were white against that sea of red.
