greetings from the Critique Club

Hello! You clicked the button for a CC comment, and I'm pleased to oblige.

I expect you got exactly what you wanted in this image and had fun doing it. Since that's the object of participation in DPC I'll say congratulations on meeting your goal.

Keep 'em coming, if you like. Your art is fun to look at and may you continue to pursue your goal of lots of 'last place' endings.

Good idea. Nice color/contrast.
I would have cropped out the blue in the background, and the letters in the foreground.
Also it is a bit fuzzy and needs to be straightened, (it's running up hill.)

I think the symmetry of your shot would have been better featured if you chess game had been leveled. The curve at the bottom of the shot, the blue fabric at the top are distracting and take away from your shot.

Symmetrical concept that could be much stronger by (1)position your view and angle in direct center, (2)eliminate the blue cloth background or straighten it, plus smooth out the fabric chess board and (3)rotate the camera a bit clockwise for stronger horizontals. Hope this helps.

I like the idea, though I would've preferred the symmetry of the situation to show in the final image.
