 I took this shot at home, with a soap bubble, a black & white print out of PI, a light source from the below and another from top to have multiple reflection of PI.

Steps:

1. Convert from RAW to JPG

3. USM
4. Crop

Greetings from the Critique Club -

Well you easily met the challenge here. But I will be blunt, this image doesn't do much for me. After reading your description I can see what you did though I wouldnt have guessed it without it. The image is flat, the reflections are distracting and there seems to be a decent amount of noise in the blacks. The general composition and execution of this image is just not very imteresting or compelling IMO.

That said - you have some very nice work in your portfolio. Your two highest scoring images are very very well done and very pleasing to look at. Just lok at this image as a small bump in the DPC road. Keep working at it, keep shooting and most have all keep trying to have fun. Good luck in future challenges.

Nice idea... but too dark. I sat here for a while trying to figure out 'what' Pi is floating in. Maybe a little low intensity light from the side a bit might help.

Interesting shot. With a little more effort, I think this could have been very effective, but it's missing some finesse, and the bubble is hard to see. Overall, not bad.
