Greetings from the Critique Club -

I don't really think you hit the symmetry aspect of the challenge here. At least not in a way thatthe majority of the DPC voters are looking for to get the higher scores. There are aspects of symmetry but not as the overhwelming focus of the image.

The image is also a bit flat. The colors are flat and boring and there doesnt seem to be enough contrast to make your image pop. It is just there. I can see that the rainy day clouds really didnt do you any good here. But sometimes we just get what we get and dont have many options in the matter. On a sunny day with cool clouds in the sky I bet you coudl get a rocking image here. This day not so much.

All this aside, hang int here and keep on shooting. I look forward to seeing your future entries.

Tim

Gotta be more careful when processing, ugly may be a too strong word for what I find those halos around the building to be but I sure would have liked this shot better without them.

Where's the symmetry? Also, you've got some problematic oversharpening halos along the edge.

It is definitely symmetrical, but I am afraid it is a bit boring. Too bad the sky did not offer more - mother nature did not cooperate.

The sky is a bit bland unfortunately, and the symmetry principle is not really the focus here.

There's a lot of symmetry in the building, but not in the image. I think it would have been more effective for the challenge if you had balanced the two sides. BUT, challenge aside, this is a very nice shot. I like the light, patterns, and perspective.
