The rear of an F-16 Jet Engine. The outer parts of the image is the nozel if you will. It adjusts in size and here it is flared out. In the center is the fuel rail of the engine. This is where the raw fuel is dumped when the afterburner is turned on in order to give the engine more thrust. Watching 16's take off at night with a full load and full afterburner is an awesome and very loud experience. When the pilot pulls back on the stick the flames of the afterburner hit the runway and bend as the plane screams down the runway and into the air.

Who would have thought something so loud and industrial could be so beautiful!

Another excellent shot do you have one with the afterburner going ? I also see from this that you do have HDR capabilities so you should try your archatecual shots once and see how it turns out if you haven't already. I would be interested in seeing that. I wish I had, been playing with HDR when I was in London I think it would have made for some interesting shots there. Take care ...

Looks like something related to brute force. I suppose that's sort of true. Without your explanation, I would not have guessed.

I like the textures and the variations in light from one panel to another. Nice range of shades from dark to light.

An eye. Sci-fi... futuristic, mechanical, robotic.... I'm waiting for the pupil to peel back to reveal a glowing red light.

Too bad you put a title on it - would have been more fun to guess. My first thought was that it was some interesting piece of architecture post-processed. Love the gold tones and patterns of lines.
