CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

Great action capture here. I also like the predominately green background, and how his ears are "up" and his tongue is out. That adds to the comical effect.
I think it would have been a stronger composition if the dog had been in the right side of the frame. As it is, it is in a "strong" part of the frame, but it looks like he is running out of it, and that makes it seems bit off-balance. Also, it looks like your camera focused on the back half of the dog (which was probably the front half when you started the shot, because the head and chest is just a touch soft, but his back legs are razor sharp.
I think it does fit the challenge, but it is not as "in your face" with the challenge theme as some of the top scorers.
Nice work and best to you in future challenges.

Nice action shot which suits the title. Love the ears and expression! Focus seems to be sharpest on the dog's hips and I would prefer it on the eyes; also DOF looks odd to me, as the foreground grass is pretty sharp but the dog's front legs, chest and shoulders are not, despite appearing to be the same horizontal distance from the camera and therefore in the same focal plane. Hope that makes sense ;-) |

Unfortunately, "Go, Dog, Go!" was written by P.D. Eastman, not Dr. Seuss. That said, the dog could be sharper. It looks like the focus is on his hind end, not his face. |

Good action shot, but it looks like your lens focused more on the grass than the dog. |

Excellent freeze of the movement. Sharp. Nice saturated grass, but I wonder if a different crop would enhance the pose of the dog. The treeline in the background is a bit distracting. |
