 I have my camera set to take RAW plus jpeg, and I've currently got the jpeg set to monochrome, plus a red filter, plus contrast and sharpness up one notch from the default settings. This is slightly cropped and slightly sharpened but otherwise the way the camera shoots that monochrome setting. The poppies are quite red, but with the red filter, they appear white here. They're just about blown as far as blooming - they're growing all along the walls of the vineyards. And on Sundays, this stoplight is turned off.

What a great photo! I wonder if the 20D does all those fancy in-camera settings! I can't even find where I can change it to shoot in black and white.

What I love about this tho is the whole look of the contrast between the pretty white flower and the "side-of-the-road" weeds along the highway. You are so amazing at finding art in every day things!

interesting shot, I cant lie and say its my favourite of yours in the B&W challenge, but what I can say is that I love the fact that a real photographer can see beauty in perhaps the most unexpected places. Your railway station shots always get that across to me and this one does too
