Thanks for the high vote, however it would mean much more if you read the book! Even just looked at the pictures! |

Oh you should feel very sad for this tree! That's the point of the story! This was indeed a very healthy tree (until the ice snapped the top off!) decades of years old. The stump does represent the storyline, apparently not to very many critics however. (And not well enough) |

Interesting? Educate yourself with your subject. This was the author's favorite story. Interesting subject? It was intended to educate a generation. |

"Sketchy" you say, as in bogus? Too tight perhaps, I'll give you that one, but sketchy.... not even close. With a little research (Google?) one could find a possible link (albeit a small one?) to the image with the story. To tell the tale, you're looking to the wrong site. Even the top three vote getters can't communicate the story. Remember that "picture is worth........" thingee? |

Spooky, we both went for the Lorax theme. I guess that means we're truly meant for each other now... |

This shot might benefit from a wider crop |

And deep in the Grickle-grass, some people say,
You can still see the Lorax standing today.
Taking pictures of fungusy truffula trunks,
That were chopped by the Once-lers Thneed making punks!
Interesting lighting. I always pictured truffula trees as thinner with far fewer rings in them! But I can picture a full forest of these poor trees. |

the crop seems too tight for this shot ... wish you hadn't cut off the top and right sides of the stump |
