That is one messy knot! Wouldn't a cleat hitch work just as well?

The composition is really nice - it seems the coil could be ever some little bit more sharp - but is well done.

A very pleasing study of texture, shape, and grays and blacks. I like the inky designs in the water.

Nice texture and lines but but the tilted doc edge is distracting and the subject is not really exciting. Photograph is good technically.
