A better attempt my sony again.

Unsharp mask

All editing done with Gimp, as usual.

This camera would be unsuable if it weren't for neat image, the noise is horrific, even at ISO 100 in broad daylight.

Hello from the Critique Club

First Reaction was cute shot.

Technically
Well honestly, it is overexposed, sounds like you are having problems with the camera. Too much sun on her arms and face losing the skin color
I do like the texture of the ball.

Composition is good, like the way the ball fills the screen. Her expression is cute and she is having fun.

It maybe time to invest in a new camera if you can. You have a good eye for the shot but your camera, if it is not working the way you want is holding you back, that can become frustrating.

Thanks for allowing me to critique your photo.

Keep shooting and have fun.

Nice perspective with size, but not really action

That's what sport is all about. Kids having a good time. The light is a bit harsh which is pretty hard to avoid outside. I really like your POV/composition and your DOF. Great shot.

The giant basketball doesn't add anything to the photo yet it occupies a bit part of the frame. It would be better if the girl was looking at the camera, or was otherwise showing some kind of emotion. The bright reflection of the sun on her arms is a bit distracting.
