Hey there from the Critique Club
Camera Work/Technical: Very nice! Awesome depth of field and terrific lines. I like really like the perspective and vanishing point that you captured. It is especially nice from the ground-level point of view that this was snapped from. It so cool that, with the first glance, it appears that everyone is looking at the camera, as if expecting the shot.
Lighting: While the sky looks a bit hot, all your subject appear nicely lit. This also adds some nice contrast, as well as finishing out a strong tonal range for the overall image.
Composition/Content: Again, wonderful. I am not quite sure how much corrine was drinking before she added her silly comment, but I am guessing it was a LOT. Perhaps the word 'sport' means something much different in her native tongue. This meets the challenge very nicely, and your score reflects that nicely.
My Opinion: This is a very nice and very strong score, but I fell that it is still far too low. This one should have slid up there into the top ten, maybe even the top 5. The image is a very solid entry.
Corrine, lay off the liquor.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide a critique on your entry,
Eric

One of my favorites. Wish it would have placed higher because it is a superb photo! |

to me, there seems to be too much balance between the cyclists and the skyline. i might have tried, as you may have, cropping the top down so the people were the bottom two-thirds, maybe even more, and go for a very panoramic perspective. still a very interesting picture. |

Woah - a little freaky. They all look like they're looking at your camera. |

That's quite the sea of people...not sure how far they extend in the background, but if they continue like this for a ways...a photo from a slightly higher elevation could be real interesting. I really like the b&w, it emphasizes the mass repetition of people which is also echoed by all the windows of the buildings. Very nice! |

I love it - cycling in a concrete canyon! I'll be back to see what this was and where. Love the smiling faces, the comp, and the choice of B&W. |

Hope you got out of the way. I think your choice of black and white was a good one, save a those different competing colours. The symmetry of the buildings in the background looks good too. |

Despite being a nice photograph, this entry does not fall within the parameters of this weeks challenge. That being said, I must judge this photograph accordingly. :-( |
