With the original I was going for a nightmarish take on what beast might be lurking inside the seemingly innocent exterior, and this early arrangement I thought didn't work for that, with the faces turned inward toward the middle subject rather than projecting outward. Here it just looks like 2 other cats are shouting at him. Still think it's a cool setup, just didn't work for the idea I was trying to express.

Totally neat. I agree with Melethia - the contrasts between the middle cat and the 'enraged' ones is very quirky. Love it.

I do like the shouting at look - particularly since the calm cool cat in the middle seems to care less that it is being shouted at by particularly agitated "selves". Kinda like what a lot of people feel like at work on some days, I'd imagine.
