Taken at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

This is a photogrpah of a plaster cast image of a musician. This is a real tough challenge for me and I did not really decide to join it until two days ago. This is what I came up with. I hope it scores OK.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: With the post-processing you chose, this one is almost impossible to offer any technical critique advice on. However, your base image does appear to be very crisp and well captured.

Lighting: Very interesting effect that you chose. It plays nicely with the title you chose, and the voters seemed to agree.

Composition/Content: Great font and very nice composition. Your chosen elements allow the eye to flow through the frame nicely.

My Opinion: Nice idea that was well-executed. Congrats on very nice, well-deserved score.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide a critique on your entry,
Eric

All the best lullabies are purple... deep purple... they fade into sunsets and shimmer on dark water. Purple is the last color to fade into darkness, and some think it never completely disappears. These are the lullabies and children's songs of Billie Holiday, recordings that no one even knew existed until they were found at Antiques Roadshow Louisianna. Buy them for your children, play them for yourself when the midnight hour comes scratching at your eyelids...

Nice image, and good processing choice for an album cover. looks more like a line drawing than a photograph, but works for me. 7

This is a very cool image. The name is good. I could see this as an album cover. Great job.

Nice... would be perfect for a jazz album... I maybe wish the colors weren't as pastel though, maybe something more "bold" would sell more CDs? Great entry though - I like it.

Nice graphical presentation, possibly too graphical for this crowd but you have my approval. Bump.

I love the right hand side of this album cover - some of the detail seems lost of the left hand side - lost into the purple.

I don't know if your processing is legal or not - but I really don't like it. Way overdone for my taste...

I'm still deciding whether this is a really neato PS effect or not. I think I'm leaning towards a sculpture/carving of some sort...very interesting.

Probably too "digital art" for this crowd, but you did very nice work with this.
