tashy ... you have gorgeous hair!! .. & i really like this photograph .. i love the way the your skin in the dress forms a sort of 'v' pointing to the bottom of the image, and how the dress blends into the black background .. i reckon that's awesome ...
interesting how different ppl see different things .. like the critique says that's a bad thing .. i totally disagree!!! .. i love how the dress forms a negative space which flows into the background ... just EXCELLENT .. :):)x |

| Greetings from the critique club. First let me say that I think you already know that you might have stretched a bit on the challenge. However a nice photo will usually score well. I think you already know that the dress is lost in the BG and the flower is blown too far out losing you some points. I wish the framing hadnt been so tight to give some headroom(pun intended) and their are some distracting lines in the background. Over all you scored well for the challenge with the flaws in the shot. Good luck in future challenges. |

| Hi, at first this wasn't going to be a hair shot-I'm not that vain!! I was actually wearing a black satin dress-but this didn't show up enough to be the focal point so hair it was!! |

| i definitely love the idea. but im just not digging the textures in this one. very artistic and imaginative shot though, thats what counts in my book :) yes, i have a book ;) |

Natasha, your hair is BEAUTIFUL! I can tell you, I would NEVER try to pass my hair off as silky smoothe :) Maybe in a texture challenge to show all the fuzzies. . .but never like this. I love the pretty lighting on the left side of your hair. I'm surprised this scored 5.6. I think it deserves much higher.

Nicely shot. I think the white of the flower is too much though, as it immediately draws the eyes away from the hair, which I assume was your main subject.

| Good idea, but the contrast is too high. You'd lost almost all texture in the flower and the highlight in her hair, and her dress is lost in the background. Also would have preferred a little space above her head. |
