RAW=Levels and WB

PS= Make two versions in 16 bit of same photo. One in B&W, one in color. Put on separate layers.

Erase top layer to expose black and white.

Used High Pass @ 250% on B&W. gaussen blurred b&w 1.5%. black paint in key areas of b&w. burn bg.

dodge water.

heal and clone a crap load of sand that was on my lens.

heal out the phone lines on the shacks.

Crop, reduces, save for web.

just wanted to say I thought this was very powerful. I'll bet in another challenge it would have done very well. I love the whipping wind on this one. It did not get the recoginition it deserved.

I think too much has been colored. Over half the pic is in color, but my eye isn't drawn to anything in particular.

Too much colored area, the desaturation is not significative.
