Took a picture of some of the roses I picked up for my wife recently, placed them on the toilet seat (improv) and took a picture with flash.
Cropped the frame and brushed the entire background white, which was painstaking to say the least.
Lasso left rose, desat, burn/dodge, levels, contrast, USM.
Right rose: saturation, USM, push greens and reds and blacks in selective colour, burn/dodge where applicable.
Add border, resize, SFW.
BORING STUFF OVER.
I hope this does alright. I like the simplicity of the image and I think the title conveys adequately what I was trying to acheive. Thanks for looking/voting. |

this image is wonderful, and very well composed. i love the story the desaturation tells, and it's just an overall great photo. very underrated, i gave it an 8
