I think the processing gives it a cool effect and think you should give a copy to the fire department anyway. :-) |

I don't think the post processing helps this photo - the filter detracts from the selective desaturation. |

This looks almost posterized. All the fine lines with high contrast make it WAY too busy for me. |

Well, I'm not a big fan of selective desaturation in the first place, especially when something is chosen at random to desaturate... and I'm even less of a fan of HDR... I'm sure others will like the result as much as I'm not a fan, though :) |

Lots of potential here, but I think this one crossed over into the realm of being over processed. It looks kinda cartoonish. |
