Nice. I don't see a need for the big border though. If the "border" is the first thing to jump out, then it is taken away from the photo, IMHO.

Nice capture of midtown Manhattan and part of Queens. I'd like it a little brighter; I think this would bring out the detail better. I grew up in New York, and I believed the city limits represented the ends of the world, but having lived in other places I have come to realize there is a great world outside of the five boroughs.

let me be the first (or second or third fourth fifth) to mention the border. drop shadows and 'creative' borders do not fare well here. mostly because they're ugly ;). as for the shot - it lacks some definition in content (no clear theme) but i see what youwere going for, and I like the B&W idea. a nice addition to your portfolio either way.
