 Taken on mother's day. (I know that it's not a true black and white, but I had to fudge in some selective destat somwhere.) My mom and I bought a bunch of tomato plants and were planting them in the back yard. She didn't have any good gloves for me, so I just used my bare hands...Of course, she didn't tell me later that the soil we were using had chicken 'manure' in it >.<
Mother's day prank perhaps??

NEway, my hands were all funky and dirty looking, so I asked her to take a shot of my hands. It took her about 5 shots b/c she couldn't fit the whole pot in the picture...until I told her that she could be farther away from it than 1 foot, lol.

Oh I just love the select. desat here. Very emotive, for me. Nice composition too.

Great idea with the selective desaturation. The composition, crispness and tones are wonderful. I too have been thinking of taking a picture of my hands because I think they make great B/W subjects. Great job.

Usualy I doesn't like selective dessaturation, nut think that it realy works nice here
