 OK so I just went for a walk in my lunch break on Friday and I came across this!

I never even knew it existed (or that Dickens wrote about metal security grills)

This time the grain and noise is deliberate

I love the grain and noise. This is great! What a bunch of finds you have from walking around. How far do you go? lol... this is a funny little store, huh?

My parents have an old framed print of it (etching or something) so I'm quite familiar with it. I didn't know it sold Antique and Modern Shoes, though (that must be a recent thing).

I'm also reminded of a cartoon that shows the shop with hundreds of cats approaching it (because cats are curious...)

great shot jon ... i love these shots with something very old juxtaposed with something new .. its interesting how the roof of the old building almost looks like the bricks behind it ...excellent contrasts, and i love the writing on the building.:)

What a great find! The ever-so-slight grain is a must in this picture. It looks awesome! It's almost an anachronism with its old world look right in the middle of that urban setting.
