Hi Sonnyh,
A very well done photograph. The composition is very nice. The way you held the tonal ranges in the colors are very well done. The details and sharpness in and around the spiral are excellent. The background color scheme fits here very well not to bright or dark. The only things I see here might be the possible use of a little more dof bringing the top left a little more in focus giving more balance instead of the abrupt end. I would have possibly cropped the right side just enough to have the tail of the shell lead me out of the photo. Finally the piece of hair or stick thee on the right side front keeps catching my eye. Over all this is a really well done photo. The Shells spiral pattern gives it depth and the angle of your shot gives it scale.Very well done.

| Nice contrast between textures of the shell and the sand, and a nice rendition of the colors of the shell. The lighting emphasizes the shape of the shell well. I'm kind of back and forth as to whether better DOF and overall focus would improve the shot or detract from it. |

| nice documentary, but lacks artistic appeal for me. technically seems fine, though it actually looks a little edited at the back - maybe just compression artifacts. i might have tried this at a much lower angle...throw some perspective into the mix. good luck. Pedro |
