 I think this is on the edge!

I borrowed a friends (childs) Ice skate
Froze a tray of water in my feezer and then took several shots this one seemed the best
It was hard to get it right in such a small space without other objects spoling the impact
Also the ice melted very fast
Taken on Suppressed flash

I was surprised not to see more skating images in this challenge. This one is the best of this genre for me. I like the composition with the tide cropping and the cold colors. Give an icy feeling. I would have set the focal plane to the tip rather then to the middle of the skate.

Excellent idea and composition, I like the skate slipping on the edge, and your original title fits the challenge, too! Left side of the skate metal could be more in focus, maybe crop is too tight on the left. I am hesitating between 8 and 9, but I love the idea and all so much that I give you the 9. :-) Happy Holidays and photograph a lot. :-)
