This was taken with my favorite lens, the 25 year old Pentax 50mm f:1.7 Manual K mount. It offers resolution I just dont get with my expensive lenses. Amazing from a lens that can be had for less than 60 bucks.

Tighter crop would have helped this photo - if you're trying to show it is a snake, there's not enough here or in focus to accomplish that - if you're trying to show the pattern on the skin, you could accomplish that without any of the brown background (or at least with it limited to the very upper right corner).
