Friends having a beer at the local pub - I told them both after taking pics for a bit that they should pretend they have just been announced as getting engaged - Thats the reaction!

I really love this shot! I wish the index finger behind the glass was still in black & white .. but I think you should have received a higher score. Looks like yall were having a lot of fun! I love these moments!

Terrific capture. the selective desat is subtle but seems to work. I'm not sure why. I guess it makes me feel like I'm the guy holding the glass. 8

You've captured the moment well, what a lovely happy face the girl has and nicely cropped too. I would have liked to see his expression and perhaps a little sharper too but with similar DOF of the girl. Good range of tones but I think red wine in a plain glass may have worked even better. Good luck

Nice emotive shot. Certainly leaves the viewer wondering what the story is. I associate the title and setting with an engagement type announcement yet it appears to be a man that is surprised. Did she propose to him? Did he win something? Did he just find out he's going to be a new dad? Hmmm...hopefully the story will surface after the challenge?

You did a nice job of isolating the glass and liquid for the desat. I think it would be a tad stronger if you had left the non-liquid part of the glass in grayscale (stem and uppper glass above the liquid).

Way to catch a moment!, Would have been extra great if you could have left the finger behind the class in gray, but still a nice shot

I see the point of the photo, especially as it relates to the title, I'm *not* sure I see the point of desaturating everything but the glass. Granted, I don't know what would have made any more sense as regards desat for this photo, but perhaps that indicates that this might not have been the best of choices for selective desat. Not trying to offend, just offering an opinion.
