Just saw this. Hmn. I think I have a number (3 on dpc) of dog pics very similar. Sans the sweetness of red, and other subtleties. And yet there must be millions of peeps with dog on lead with one hand, camera in the other. But where are they?. Oops, don't want this as a challenge topic. |

I like this concept, and the selective saturation is done well, b&w has good tones (great texture on that concrete). Must be the petsitter in me. :) |

I think the composition/perspective is the strongest part of this shot. A unique angle that adds a lot to the depth of the photo. Also the textures are terrific too. |

I like your processing a lot on this shot. The composition bothers me a little, because the red line leads my eye down and off the page. I understand it is leading to the unseen 'master', but it still feels uncomfortable. I think this was an excellent example of good selective desat. The color is great, and I like the b&w tones. |

Somehow I had a feeling that this was from the king of OOB, I had a good laugh just at the right time while voting all those 500+ pictures.

You did get a fairly respectful score out of this. Nice job. |

I'll offer you the "this should have scored higher" platitude, but I've learned it really doesn't do much. You can't trade in comments post challenge for a better score, nor will they be accepted at your local Starbucks in lieu of cash or a charge card. But I will say this was in my personal top ten. And you can't use THAT at your local Starbucks either. |

I didn't vote but would have given this a 9. I love the textures and the title is perfect. |

I like it alot. I love the composition of this and the desat works well - red, black, and white are a good combo. |

Very clever title and concept. I had to think twice about the title! The red of the lead and his tongue complete the picture very nicely. I think it may have had more impact if it could have been shot without the grass. Good luck |
