My wife spotted this moth in amoungst the leaves as she was sweepinh the patio!
I picked it up quickly before she squashed it (she is scared of anything that flies...) and placed it safely on a bamboo stick in the garden and quickly ran for my Camera.
Turns out it is a type of "Sphinx" moth. Apparently quite common in the southren part of the UK, though I had not seen one before.
I did a quick search of users names and what would you know, a few to choose from so, "dreammoth", Thanks for choosing a fitting name for my image!
Processing was very basic.
RAW conversion using RSE with bump to Saturation, Sharpness and Contrast tweaks.
In Photoshop CS2, a bit of brightness/contrast adjustment, Curves and USM. Finally, added a border.
