Greetings from the Critique Club:
This is certainly a macro and fits the challenge from that standpoint. From an overall point of view this does not hold a great deal of interest - perhaps because the four points of light underneath the mesh are very distracting. The mesh is also uneven with a roll up to the light on the left and that takes the eye away from your image instead of giving it more to enjoy and think about. The generally uneven quality both of light and of the strainer itself confuse the image and rob it of the clarity I think you were looking for. You might want to think about shooting this again with something colorful under the strainer to bring out the pattern of the mesh and add some interest and with a more diffused light source. Didn't know it was a strainer until I looked at the title. Was pretty impressed by the tone and shiny texture of the metal. Nice shot. |

Nothing of interest at all here and the lights in the background are a major distraction. |
