The blue of the sky doesn't contrast well with the color of the structure. Maybe 5000 yrs ago when they were either painted or newly quarried and shaped. Maybe they are just in need of more light. Yeah I think that is it. More light on the Columns and less saturation of the Nitrogen (atmosphere).

aptly named, this is a really great shot. the blue sky creates a nice contrast to the stone.
