Got this idea from Kiwiness.
Thanks for the inspiration.
First of all, my 1D M2 is sick and in the shop, so I am using my 300D for this shot.
As with Kiwiness, the lighting was the tough part.
4 separate days, three different lighting set ups, several hundred attempted shots later. Finally took my 2kw at full spot, a 300 w with a blue jell, and reflector with blue jell to push enough light through the water to get the dof I was after.
Circular polarizer on lens.
Hung glass upside down from fishing line. Submerged in a tank of water. Put a tube in in the aquarium to blow air to get the bubbles I was after.
RAW=Levels, saturation, contrast, wb
PS= crop, levels, USM contrast technique, USM sharpened technique, cloned out bubbles, painted bg distraction, healed the paint job, Dodge, Burned in Lab in the Lightness channel, flatten, saved, reduced, saved for web
I predict a 6.2 |

Good idea, but the lighting is not good ... too many hot spots on the glass, the background is too dark, and the spilling water gets lots. 4 |

Nice light in the glass but a tad boring. |
