Note: this photograph was not intended as disrespectful!

A dog ran in front of me, and I crashed with my bicycle. After recovering from the shock I couldn't help but notice the symbolism of my injuries. Except for my forehead, those wounds are real!

Even coming from a rather conservative protestant background, I am surprised at the strong emotions this picture evoke in me and others.

Flash used together with natural light.
Crop to 4:3, dodge (body), contrast, gamma, resize, sharpen, b/w.

Interesting juxaposition of the flesh against the raw brick. The concept is good and the overall expression suits the spirit of the image very well. My knitpick is not centering the nail blood on the palms. More like a piercing of the mount of lunas. Regardless, this remains a strong and highly interesting study. Bump.

good idea, decent execution, but the model's expression is completely without emotion.

Nice idea! I find the lighting a little flat, though, rendering it somewhat two-dimensional, anddrawing attention away from the subject to the pattern of thewall behind.
