Don't know why this didn't do better, Mary, although you did get a decent average from your commenters. I thought this was a lovely shot and fit the challenge quite well. |

Too bad this did not do better. Lots of nice elements in the pic. Love the golden color and the motion of the rower in the water. |

The kayak (or a one man Skull)really compliments the horizontal ripples in the water. Nice color. The figure's tilt keeps my eye in the photo. |

Nice textures on the water, and I think the out of focus rower works here. Didn't wow me the first time through, but bumping you up to a 6 on the second pass |

The composition on this feels wierd. It is good that the subject is coming into the frame, but I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of the wake off the paddle so you could really get that sense of him/her moving. Darkening the rower would also help as well. |
