 Thanks to my DPL teammates, this has undergone numerous "improvements", mostly in the area of color noise reduction. Some dodging, burning, and vivid light brushing was used on the apes. Slight lens blur was applied to the background.

Originally I had planned to use this in the Religion challenge with a title such as "Love and Compassion", which I strongly believe are the key components to a successful society.

However the ape in the back looks so much like a doctor standing over a patient who is showing him where her leg hurts, that I thought it would be fun to put this in Science for Evolution and Medicine -- the ape evolving into a doctor.

I've grown very fond of these two subject. I hope you enjoy the image.

The warmth in this is very evident to me. And I agree that it could have worked for either challenge.

Hi Julianne. Well, I gave you a 6. Don't know why the score was so low. Maybe there isn't enough contrast between them? Or maybe the title didn't connect to the challenge well enough? I've seen JunieMoon say other shots were pixilated where I couldn't see it, so I'm not sure what that's about, either.

Anyway, keep shooting them! :)

I like the tight crop here. You really captured something with interest here, but it appears to me that some of the details have been lost by post-processing.

This is a great evocative anthropomorphic shot. I would simplify the title - "Anthropology", perhaps?
