Just to clarify after the challenge, I didn't cut off the flame. It is actually the flame of the match that I brought into the frame while the shutter was open to guarantee I caught the reaction of the alcohol. I did have some other shots that I hit the shutter just after I threw the match in. And everyone is right I should have used the portrait orientation. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Gorgeous colors and the maple leaf looks great. Shame the top of the flame is gone though. |

this would have been much stronger (IMHO) if you'd shot it in portrait orientation and not cut off the flame ... |

Nice! I thought about doing this shot (though not with this bottle!) Very well done. Curious how you did the ignition - that's what I couldn't figure out. |
