action shot of my husband blowing out the candles on his birthday cake.

post editing..adjusted brightness and contrast and decreased red saturation. cloned out some annoying specks and a piece of tablecloth on the bottom left corner that looked tacky. added border using stroke.

also, this shot was hand held and i was suprised that it wasn't OOF with the 1/3 sec shutter speed. got lucky.

hmmm - I liked this picture - I think this is the kind of lighting that suffers greatly from the wide variety of monitor calibrations. Looks just great to me. 7

Happy Belated Birthday to the person in the shot!

THis is a wonderful idea but the shot leaves me wanting. Taking shots of candles can be so hard, I know, I've been trying without much success yet. If the shot was turned around so you could see the persons face being lighted by the candles would have so much more impact on this shot to me. As is a 4

nice idea, but the right part of the photo (at least on my monitor) is too dark to pick-up any detail.

I like the mood created by the lighting on this photo, but unfortunately, it leaves me with little to see. Still, it is well done. An angle with the cake in center and the person's face behind it lit slightly by the candles might look good too. Oh, and happy birthday = )

It's too dark here
