This is Oroni. My first DPC pic was of her just a few hours old. I continue to shoot her to capture her as she skips along in life.

Post Editing:
1. Levels check, slight adjustment
2. Bump in hues
3. Dupe layer with extra bump in yellows
4. Vector mask to remove any access yellows other than in the BG
5. USM
6. Some dodgin' & burnin' to even out tones on the left side
7. Sharpening tool for the hands ( a bit of motion blur )
8. some croping
9. some adding of canvas
10. Resize & save for web.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Just so it's clear, my model is just 3 and no it is not easy to shoot a 3 year old much less get her to stay still long enough to take crisp shot. Despite this, I think the lil tike did really well and shooting her is one of my greatest joys in life so far!

Very nice. Love the color combination with the dress and the background.

Nice capture - But a shot like this with as much control as you have really should be pin sharp - Her hands and the bonsai are really too unsharp and distracting.

The combination of colors really give this photo some serious zing. The favorable lighting really weakens as you get towards the bonsai. The greens in the tree lack the zing. Still very much an excellent photo!

Pretty. Colors are nice. Subject seems a bit out of focus or something.

nice picture, but is it really right category?

I love your choice of colors here, the orange hue brings out contrast to the green/brown/red

with the background and the dress, her face is very magenta. also the focus seems a ittle soft. I love the composition and the idea, just a little better execution and this would be super. nice job.

Nice portrait, not sure about the yellow background & heavy border.

I love the idea but, for me, the orange background and the red of the childs garment clash and pull the eye away from the peaceful moment.

I wouldhave prefered a lighter background which would have made the subjects pop more.

What a darling she was to pose for you. I would have liked to see the entire image in focus but I know working with kids is a pain sometimes. AWESOME idea though. Good Luck
