Raw conversion in Aperture v1.5.3, exposure -2.0, export as .jpg -> photoshop extended CS3, black and white (red -200, yellow +300, green +300, cyan 0, blue 0, magenta 0), brightness +10/contrast +5, crop, resize, USM (100%, 0.5, 0), border -> save for web 100%

Black and white is indeed the best choice. Two colors lets the viewer focus solely on the earth and sky - instead of the blend of colors. Love the perspective and the border is an excellent complement!

This is very nice. I like the use of BW here, and the frame you used. Vineyards are surprisingly difficult to shoot ... lots of competing lines between the vines, wire supports, and rows to contend with. But you've done a nice job here. Bumping you up to a 7

Yours is indeed a striking photo. Choice of b/w is apt. The subtle wisps of cloud really add just enough detail in the sky. 8.

I am probably a small minority, but I have difficulty rating any B&W photos higher than a 5, when todayĆ¢€™s photographic technology makes vivid and vibrant color so easy. This would have been better in color.

Why black and white. I'm not sure if it adds or detracts from the image.
