An American Icon.

Manual exposure mode, minimal editing, focal length 28mm

---- after ----

Sorry - this time a 1 bothers me. It's not about the score, and could care if it had all 163 votes a 6, but a 1 says it did not meet the challenge, it's technically of very low quality, photographically all wrong, AND that I didn't give any consideration to even try and take a decent picture. Kinda' like taking a picture with a cell phone, getting it all out of focus, under or over-exposed and taken for the inside of a cement mixer drum while it's turning.

I wish you who voted this a 1 could tell me why. Just curious.

Hey Brad,

I just came across this picture while looking for ideas on photographing my fathers 56, I was reading your comment about the voting and I agree... I think you caught the essence of this vehicle very well! First off the styling of the front end then right down the side to the rear tails. NAILED IT
great photo

There is no way this should get a vote of 1. Very good work, watch out for them trolls Brad

Yeah, suppose any of them would do.
Wish the site had a mechanism in place that required a why on vote extremes, high or low. I saw no comments during the challenge that would suggest a low vote such as that. Like I said, the score was not the issue, as I really don't care if it ended up with 162 votes of 6 and a single 1, so long as the person could at least tell me why they voted a 1.

I know - lemme go find the beating a dead horse icon....

Oh - you forgot one:
"I'm sorry, I just got over a bad case of Jaundice and now I hate Yellow"

hehehehehehe

take your pick ;-)

"i'm sorry, i thought 1 was for first place"
"i'm sorry, but my car shot is getting hammered so i'm hammering back"
"i'm sorry, but i vote with random clicks and you got caught on the low end"
"i'm sorry, i can't explain it, but that image just sucks, imho"
"i'm sorry, but that's my ex's car"
"i'm sorry, but i had to get married because of the how much room there is in the back of that car"
"i'm sorry, but that gray cloud just really takes away from the aesthetics"
"i'm sorry, but monday was just a bad day for me to be voting"
"i'm sorry, but i start everyone at a 1 and there were too many for me to get back to bump you"
"i'm sorry, but i was hoping for a picture of a tiger and then this came up"
"i'm sorry, but i prefer film"

Very well done. If the yellow lane marker was moved to run under the car it might give a stronger sense of motion. The car and hillside in the back could become sky and free up space around the car.

I like the sky, the background and the front of the car more than anything else in the picture.

I think it's because your lighting is off on the side...

Nice car. I like the angle and think the shot is pretty nice. I just don't like the background. But nothing you can do about that.
