 Had gone to a lady's house who owned an English garden looking for mantids. I found one and had a shot to enter, but finally went with this one because of the wonderful colors. There is not a ton of saturation added on this shot. The iris was just bursting with color.

Had to use a little stick to wrangle this guy into the best position possible. I don't know what kind of spider this is, but actually have seen similar ones (also on a purple flower but with a yellow body) years and years ago.

Don't let me vote on any more of your pictures.
It seems i was the only person who thought bad of the colors :-)
I still gave it a 6, so I didn't exactly hate them. but still....

Very cool Jason. Hard to tell from this angle I think this spider is commonly called a crab spider? I frequently find them hiding on my sunflowers.

Wowsers!!! What a phsycadelic macro! An awesome photo, but it makes me think of a bad acid trip, man!!! :-) Anyways, a technically well executed shot, looks cool and definitely got a strong reaction from me. Nice job.

Awesome shot! The colors are so vibrant - really makes the picture. Excellent focal point and use of DOF - right amount of sharpening as well. Very nicely done! Doesn't hurt to have such a cool looking spider around either - I seem to only see the plain ole ugly brown ones around here. :-)
