Only thing I see tacky here are the way the lights are draped in around nativity. The photo though does need a little work on it, it is to soft and out of focus and also the lighting is just to dark. Brightness could have improved the photo. |

It have been a bit tackier if the lights were lit. Cocus is a bit soft on the LBJ's manger. |

I like the overall effect of this photo, but I think the point of sharp focus should be on the figures, not on the lights in the foreground. If the soft focus was intentional, the lights should have been shifted (they probably should have been shifted anyway). Another possibility would have been to use a soft-focus lens or one of the many makeshift equivalents, or to add the blur in the computer later. |
