I really like the details in this shot. I do think the flat horizontal, centered composition hurts it some. Perhaps if it was rotated to be at an angle, the composition would have more dynamics.

A slight angle on the stick and a not so centered composition would have helped this a lot.

Very nice detail on the bug itself. The legs & stem are not in focus which takes away from the picture. The frame works on this b/c the image itself is so simple.
