I know it loos like a color photo, but it really is a duotone. I just converted it to black and white, then added a pinky hue. Also rotated, cropped, messed with curves, used smartsharpen, neatimage, contrast, brightness, blur, dodge and burn...so basically everything that I could possibly do to it, I did do.
I'm still not sure I'm happy eith the rotation. The shot is a redo of one of my photos in the 30 day b/w challenge, but I had a horizontal rotation. I like both, so it's really hard for me to judge which one will be recieved better by voters. One plus about in being vertical is that you can tell right away that those are fingers, whereas in the horizontal, you have to look at it for a few seconds, which I know most voters aren't willing to do. Either way it falls under the rule of thirds perfectly, so maybe some people will take notice of that.
I know this might be a bit too pink for others, but I like the softness that the color conveys in this case, and the redness comes out a little bit on the ladybug. I just couldn't pass up a macro that came out so well :)

| I really like this shot, crisp, good composition. My only concern is whether the ladybird needed to be the dominant colour, I'm not sure.:) |
