 Bev and I took my Mom out to dinner at our favorite West Philly restaurant...well it was my first trip. Bev and Mom had both been there for lunch. We took Mom home and I saw this dandelion on the front lawn. I went in the house with Mom and got a plastic bag...paper might have been better...picked the seeded flower and put it in as carefully as I could. Seeds fell off none-the-less. I got it home and pulled it out of the bag to shoot and more seeds fell off. The result was this. I focused on one seed to the left at f/ 8.0 and DOF did the rest. Did not do too much else to it. Shot in studio with 4 clamp lamps, 2 with 100w halogen and 2 with 120w halogen flood lights. Background is blue textured paper purchased years ago at an art store....got to remember to get some more of that someday.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements3.0 with a +0.33 exposure compensation. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Cloned a dust thread off the top right. Image is full crop. Sharpen. Resize Sharpen.

Nice DOF. The one seed is nicely isolated. Love the blue background. Normally not a big fan of dandelion shots but I really like this one!
