I want to sincerely thank all of you who took the time to comment. I knew the focus was soft, but it was the best my weary old camera could do. A new one is enroute!!! :-) Anyway, it was the concept I was confident of, and not really the technical aspects. Apparantly some of you agreed. Thanks for recognizing the thought that went into this. |

Creative idea. The model is nicely posed and has a great expression. The photo is very soft and noisy viewed up close (like I usually do when voting), but when viewed from a distance (as a poster should be!), the effect is great! |

Good idea; well done, but needs to be better focused. |

Not a bad idea but the actual execution of the idea leaves me a bit wanting. I realize you are trying to create the image of the leg breaking through the border but it just doesn't work for me, the lines don't quite match. THe child is blurred a bit and the expression isn't quite right. I'm thinking if you had a shot of the child actually coming through the top of a box or something to that effect? A 3 |

A little on the scare side of motivation, maybe leave out the scream and let it be a little subtler frustration and working on it. |

A clever interpretation of the challenge. I especially like the way the leg actually comes OUT by overlaying the border. The photo itself, though, seems a bit flat color-wise. |

I would like to see his eyes a bit more in focus, otherwise great capture of emotion. The leg coming out from the box looks a bit unnatural in my opinion, dunno, the border there looks a bit strange. The message here is great! :-) |

Clever idea. Focus is a wee bit too soft but I do like this. |

I'm assuming his Christmas present came in this box, and he ended up playing w/ the box more then the toy.. kids, go figure ;). I really like the expression he is showing. |

Great idea. I wish the image is a little bit sharper and the text not so tightand heavy. But this is a very good poster. |

Cute. Very interesting take on the challenge - a little soft focus. Text is a little over-emphasized by the effects used which weakens it for me. |

Funny shot. The border is just plain bad. You need a bit of colour adjustments as well and sharpening. The text is overdone as well. Simplify and you will see how much nicer your images will be. |

Ya know what, I really like this one. It's by far not perfect, but the most original of all I've seen yet and I respect that!
Good luck

Cool idea with the border, good composition and pose. Color and contrast seem very flat though; I'd like to see how it looks brighter. |
