I like this one better too because of the contrast. I also like the close crop. Nicely done.

This is a very interesting photo in several ways. At first I felt it was too close, but on closer observation I feel the crop is just right, filling the frame with all the necessary elements. Your choice to use black n white was a good one. Very striking portrait. +Favs.
